Préparer un fichier

Pour débuter dans la modélisation, nous vous conseillons le site (gratuit) Tinkercad. Les objets modélisés peuvent être exportés au format STL. Il faut ensuite le « découper » avec un logiciel tel que Cura (gratuit également). On obtient un fichier .gcode, le format qu'accepte l'imprimante.

Lithophanie

Une lithophanie est une image gravée sur un objet, de sorte qu'elle n'est visible qu'éclairée par une lumière particulière. Il existe un outil pour en générer à partir de n'importe quelle photographie, pour ensuite l'imprimer en 3D, à télécharger depuis GitHub.

Réparer avec l'imprimante 3D

Couleurs

La couleur de la pièce finale est déterminée par la couleur du filament PLA utilisé. Plusieurs couleurs sont disponibles à l'Atelier (blanc, noir, doré, argent, gris, rouge, vert, bleu, rose, transparent). A priori, les pièces sont monochromes, mais il est toutefois possible d'interrompre l'impression en cours pour changer le fil, et finir avec une autre couleur. Bien entedu, il reste possible de peindre les pièces après impression.

Intelligence artificielle générative

Certains modèles sont capables de générer des modèles 3D à partir d'une simple photo d'un objet. Le rendu n'est pas exact, on a moins de contrôle sur la forme réelle de l'objet, sur ses dimensions, mais on peut reproduire rapidement des formes complexes. Nous avons testé quelques outils et en avons sélectionné deux offrant une utilisation gratuite limitée : Meshy et Masterpiece Studio (valable au 1er juillet 2025). Il faut toutefois se créer un compte pour les utiliser.

Nous disposons d'un scanner 3D 3D Systems Sense v2, mais qui ne fonctionne pas très bien 😅.

Bonjour, l'utilisation de l'imprimante de la médiathèque est gratuite mais limitée à de petites impressions (moins d'une heure) et ponctuelles. Vous pouvez prendre rendez-vous auprès de la médiathèque pour venir l'utiliser. Vous devrez alors venir avec votre object 3D modélisé dans un format standard (STL, OBJ, etc.). N'hésitez pas à nous contacter pour davantage d'informations.
